Frontend Engineer [Fresher]

Remote Full-time 0–1 yrs experience

About the role

We are hiring a Frontend Engineer at the start of their career to build and maintain modern web applications. You will work on implementing user interfaces, fixing issues, enhancing existing features, and contributing to reusable frontend components across projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong web development fundamentals who enjoys solving problems and can adapt to different technologies as project needs evolve. While our teams primarily work with React and Next.js, we value engineers who understand the underlying concepts rather than a specific framework. You will work closely with senior engineers, designers, backend developers, and product teams, receiving guidance and mentorship while steadily taking ownership of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and enhance responsive user interfaces for web applications.
  • Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-structured frontend components.
  • Fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and improve existing features across projects.
  • Consume and integrate REST APIs into frontend applications.
  • Translate UI designs into responsive, cross-browser compatible interfaces.
  • Debug application issues using browser developer tools and other debugging techniques.
  • Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, QA engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality features.
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality.
  • Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following established coding standards.
  • Use Git for source control and collaborate effectively through pull requests and code reviews.
  • Learn and adapt to different frontend technologies and project requirements as needed.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, semantic markup, and responsive web design.
  • Solid programming fundamentals in modern JavaScript (ES6+), including scope, closures, functions, objects, arrays, asynchronous programming, modules, and event handling.
  • Understanding of how web applications work, including HTTP, REST APIs, browser rendering, and client-server communication.
  • Familiarity with at least one modern JavaScript framework or library such as React, Vue, or Angular through academic, internship, or personal projects.
  • Understanding of component-based architecture and reusable UI development.
  • Ability to debug applications using browser developer tools and troubleshoot issues methodically.
  • Basic proficiency with Git and common version control workflows.
  • Understanding of clean coding practices, code readability, and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with consuming and integrating REST APIs.
  • Exposure to TypeScript.
  • Exposure to state management concepts such as Redux or Context API.
  • Familiarity with modern styling approaches such as SCSS or Tailwind CSS.
  • Exposure to frontend testing using tools such as Jest or Playwright.
  • Ability to explain implementation decisions, communicate technical ideas clearly, and collaborate effectively within a team.
